Tulare Cares Homeless Facility operated by Tulare Lighthouse Rescue Mission, is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and compassionate services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to empower and assist our community members in overcoming homelessness through comprehensive care, resources, and advocacy.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Homeless Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations of Tulare Cares homeless shelter/facility. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while managing staff, coordinating services, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the homeless facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise, train, and support facility staff and volunteers.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with social service providers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to facilitate resident access to resources.
- Manage intake and discharge processes for residents.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to facility operations, incidents, and resident data.
- Monitor facility budget, supplies, and maintenance needs.
- Foster a respectful and supportive environment for residents and staff.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shelter management, social services, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of homelessness issues, local resources, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Competitive salary. Pay range $72,000 to $75,000 annually.
